At just 17 years old, after delivering a presentation on Financial Analysis and Interpretation of Financial Statements in his Grade 11 accounting class, Michael discovered a passion that would shape the rest of his life: the stock market.
Michael went on to study Financial Services at Humber College and successfully completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) with the intention of becoming a stockbroker. Early in his career, he gained valuable experience working with organizations such as Merrill Lynch and Edward Jones Canadian Head Offices. It was during this time that Michael realized his true passion wasn't in managing client relationships—it was in analyzing markets, constructing portfolios, and mastering the art and science of investing.
Like many traders, Michael's journey was far from linear. For more than two decades, he explored virtually every style of trading and investing, including equities, futures, and commodities. He spent years day trading, swing trading, and attempting to become a disciplined long-term investor. Along the way, he experienced both successes and setbacks, ultimately discovering that sustainable success comes not from chasing a single strategy, but from developing a repeatable process aligned with one's personality, strengths, and risk tolerance. He truly believes before you learn to master the markets, got to master yourself!
Michael eventually found his edge by combining rigorous fundamental research with advanced technical analysis. He believes that knowing what to buy is important, but knowing when to buy—and when to sell—is often the difference between success and failure in the markets.
Today, Michael is the architect behind Trade the Trend's proprietary TA Score™, 12 Pillars Framework™, and KYT (Know Your Trader) Assessment™, systems designed to help traders develop a structured, disciplined, and repeatable approach to the markets.

Who is this platform designed for?

What exactly is the TA score and how does it works?
The TA Score is a proprietary algorithm that aggregates 19 technical indicators used by professional traders and fund managers — including trend, momentum, volume, and price structure signals — into a single composite score between 0 and 100. A high score indicates a strong, confirmed uptrend. A low score flags weakness or reversal risk. It is designed to reduce noise, remove emotion, and give you objective data to support your trading decisions.
Do I need prior trading experience to Start?
No. The 5-Day Program and KYT Assessment are specifically designed to meet you where you are. Complete beginners will build a proper foundation. Traders with existing experience will identify gaps in their process and sharpen their edge.
