DAY 1 - Introduction to Trading & Market Basics
Core topic: What is trading & how the stock market works.
i) Different types of trading: Swing/position trading vs investing
ii) How the stock market works (exchanges, hours, participants)
iii) Basic order types: Market, Limit, Stop, Trailing
iv) Overview of broker platforms
Goal: Better understand what “trading” is, the types of trading, and how the market functions.
DAY 2 - Market Structure & Tools of the Trade
Core topic: Understanding candlesticks, Charts, and Trading platforms
i) Candlestick charts
ii) Timeframes: Short term, Intermediate, and Long term
iii) Support and resistant levels
iv) Introduction to trading platforms (TD advanced, Webull, Robinhood, IB, etc)
v) Setting up watchlists and scanners
Goal: To become familiar with reading price action, and navigate the trading tools you will be using on a day-to-day basis.
DAY 3 - Trend Assessment and Technical Analysis
Core topic: Common patterns & formations, Indicators and Price
i) Common chart patterns: Flags, Triangles, Double tops/bottoms
ii) Intro to volume and why it matters
iii) Key indicators: Moving averages, VWAP, RSI, Stochastics
iv) Intro to trendlines and breakout setups
Goal: Teach you “as a student” how to recognize setups and patterns, begin to think analytically!
DAY 4 - Risk Management & Trading Psychology
Core topic: Protecting capital and managing emotions.
i) Why most traders fail in the trading world (psychology > strategy )
ii) Risk/reward (Turning trading from gambling mindset to a highest probabilities game plan)
iii) Position sizing & stop losses (Capital preservation and risk management)
iv) Dealing with fear, greed, and FOMO (mastering your emotions)
v) Journalizing trades and performance review (finding behavior patterns)
Goal: Get you to understand that trading is about survival and consistency, not gambling- we will focus on how to treat trading like a business, will provide greater consistency and chances for success.
DAY 5 - Building a Trading System
Core topic: Practice, Planning and Developing a trading routine
i) Creating a basic trading plan
ii) Practicing on a simulator/paper trading
iii) Daily preparation: pre market analysis, news check, journaling
iv) Importance of reviewing trades and continuous learning
Goal: By the end of the week, you'll be applying what you've learned and building a daily trading routine with the tools and resources needed to trade confidently.
